All FLAMEGUARD fittings are complete sealed units which have a BLUE SEAL surrounding the neck of the light fitting, which when exposed to fire, forms a dense carbon char and expands to 10 Times its thickness. The expanded seal eliminates the flow of air through the void and starves the fire of vital elements for combustion.

All FLAMEGUARD fittings are totally sealed units and stop noise travelling through the cut-outs made in the installation of downlighters.
Installing these quality fittings creates an "Acoustic Barrier" preventing nise travelling through the joists of the ceiling.
All FLAMEGUARD fittings are supplied with a "moisture seal", stopping long term decay in the ceiling. As the units are totaly sealed units, air is prevented from travelling around the joists.
